Samaritan's Purse is an international non-profit organization dedicated to assisting those parts of the world where the need is greatest. One of their programs is Operation Christmas Child. The concept is simple, in a little shoe box you put little gifts for a boy or a girl, such as personal hygiene items, toys, school supplies and new clothes. A $10 donation for postage and handling is included, and the box is sent as a Christmas gift to a needy child around the world.

Although the concept is simple, the operation is extremely complex. It is the biggest Christmas project in the world. Since 1993 OCC has distributed more than 188 million boxes in more than 160 countries around the world. Puerto Rico officially joined this effort in 2009. With great joy, we are celebrating 13 years of participation in the project. Since then we have contributed more than 634,000 boxes. This year we want to continue increasing this amount.
